Knowledge management – the importance and the agility

How about integrating two components for organization efficiency into one! What it means is the process of embedding the component of knowledge management and agile project management that can be integrated within the organization process and implemented for better results? The following video presentation is by Verna Allee of Value Networks LLC., who explains the importance of the knowledge management in an organization. She explains in the video that we need to be agile – Agile in the terms of performance and delivery that ultimately reduces the time it takes to answer the customer. This can be achieved by improving the efficiency in the work activities.

Of course knowledge management may face issues like time, productivity and at times creativity. Knowledge management helps to resolve these issues by generating ideas.  There is always a new stock of ideas and these new stock of ideas should always be explored for better performance.  Eventually the stock ideas can help to resolve issues.

Also, the use of the knowledge management performance scorecard helps to understand what is that we are trying to accomplish from the business perceptive. Business should always drive the component of knowledge management towards the agility of project management and execution.
Of course, the big question from this video is - if knowledge management is the answer, what's the question?

Summary

The element of knowledge is present is every organization but the dissemination of knowledge by knowledge workers and knowledge mangers are not present, and even if they are present, they are not lean enough. The future of any industry and/or any organization appears to be reliant on the knowledge sharing and knowledge collaboration. The importance of knowledge management and the agility of the overall management cannot be underestimated. It is core of success and more importance it drives the business objectives towards the goals.
